Trail Note #1

 The Door vs. The Destination

Have you ever felt like you’re "stuck" in your faith? You believe all the right things, you’ve checked the boxes, and you’ve said the prayer... but if you’re honest, your daily life still feels like it's being run by your old habits and cravings?

I’ve realized that many of us are living in the gap between two different "Yesses."

The First Yes is the one we talk about most. It’s the "Yes" of belief. It’s John 3:16. It’s the door that opens the way to eternal life. It’s beautiful and it’s necessary. But here is the danger: a lot of us have mistaken the door for the destination.

We’ve treated our faith like fire insurance—something that keeps us "safe"—without ever actually moving into the house. We have the comfort of belief, but we are missing the freedom of devotion.

If we stop at the First Yes, we remain what I call "saved slaves." We have a new future, but we are still serving the old master of "Self" and the "Path of Least Resistance."

The Second Yes is the moment you stop just believing in the Master and start yielding to Him. It’s the shift from safety to service. It’s where the "miraculous drive" of your soul is rescued from the things that are destroying you and redirected toward the mission you were made for.

Today, ask yourself: Is my faith a place where I just "sit and feel safe," or is it a mission that I’m actively pursuing?

The First Yes gets you through the door. The Second Yes gives you your life back.

I’m on a journey to rescue the soul from the comfort of belief to the freedom of devotion. Join me for the Second Yes.
